GE are striving to grow throughout Europe but seem to have taken a keen eye to Germany, where they will base their European operations.

It was recently announced that they are going to launch large-scale activities in the nation soon, which is of course home to its direct competitor, Siemens. “The center of gravity in Europe is Germany, it will be the engine for our growth, ” said Ferdinando “Nani” Beccalli-Falco, Senior Vice President of GE in an Interview with the “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung” (FAZ) at the Hannover Fair on Wednesday.

He also announced that the capacity in the Garching Research Center in Munich will be doubled. In the next three to four years the staff number of 250 will be extended to 500.
