The Minister of Economy, Alberto Larraz, said today that the Government of Aragon “does not rule out the need to use coal as a primary source of energy for the future without “neglecting” to work on a plan of re-industrialization of mining areas. This was stated by the policy maker, at a press conference in conjunction with the European Union proposal to withdraw all aid to coal in 2014. Larraz stressed that “we should be careful” to work on new programs for more sustainable industrialization, but has emphasized that coal is not dismissed as the future of energy, because they are working “with great intensity” on research programs, development and innovation to the recovery of CO2 emissions.Read more (in Spanish) : http://www.abc.es/agencias/noticia.asp?n…
